JEN JORTNER CASSIDY

Mindful Coach & Educator

What I do…

My absolute passion is to support my fellow humans in transitioning from midlife crisis to midlife awakening. That means, if you are experiencing burnout, your career is no longer lighting you up, or you are navigating any other change that life has thrown at you, then I am so happy you’ve landed here. In fact, as a mindful coach & educator, I am here to hold space for you with deep empathy and compassion because you deserve to live your best life. For this reason, I’ve developed three pillars that are the basis for my work.

Be Yourself

First, by discovering who you are, letting go of self-judgment, and the life rules that are no longer serving you, the laws that you likely didn’t even create.

Show Yourself

Secondly, while learning to live authentically, without the fear of judgment from others, to speak and feel from your truth and nobody else’s.

Grow Yourself

Thirdly, by embracing a growth mindset of lifelong learning, discovery, and connection.

You deserve this! You may be thinking…

Yes, but when I have more time. Or, yes, but when I have more money. Perhaps, yes, but when I (fill in the blank with whatever limiting belief that is working to keep you safe). However, hiring a coach does not mean you are weak; in fact, it can make you stronger. More importantly, hiring a coach does not mean you aren’t capable of figuring things out on your own; it enhances your ability to do so through clarity and fresh perspective. Additionally, hiring a coach does not mean you are lazy, because YOU are the one who does the work, and trust me, the work works.

How I do it…

Coaching

Since experiencing my transformation, I’ve come to believe in the power of coaching. In short, it is work that requires curiosity and commitment, readiness to shed rules that no longer serve, and a willingness to be vulnerable. I offer private coaching to those ready to go all in. Additionally, group coaching is offered to those looking to experience this power alongside friends, family, or colleagues. Click below to learn.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness goes far beyond meditation.  While I’ve benefited from having a formal meditation practice, I believe that each individual has the power to find their version of mindfulness. For instance, it could be drinking your morning coffee or tea while not looking at your phone and taking in your surroundings. Therefore, I offer free ‘meducation’ sessions on LinkedIn Live. Subsequently, after each session, you can view recordings and learn more by following the hashtag #MindfulInspirationBreak. Additionally, I can customize meditations for groups and also offer private one-on-one sessions.

Workshops

As a mindful coach and educator, I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to speak to hundreds of groups in a variety of settings. For instance, I’ve served as a software trainer and an official LinkedIn Rock Your Profile ambassador. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of working with groups of varying sizes, meaning I’m equally as comfortable in a large auditorium as I am with an intimate group. Furthermore, through my current work, I’ve also carefully designed several workshops to support my fellow humans’ growth and development.

Honest Wisdom Blog

I’ve been fortunate in my life to have had amazing mentors. Additionally, one of them asked, “What is your superpower?”  After what seemed like many moments of pondering, I replied, “Calling bullshit.” Then, she thought and translated this into Honest Wisdom.

That is what my blog is all about. Above all, it’s about authenticity and honesty. Subsequently, it is where I get thoughts out of my head and reveal why I do what I do.
